Adsence Traffic
In order to make money with adsence there is one word that is more important than anything else .. traffic. Without traffic and lots of it you will never make much money because the click through rates from low traffic will produce almost negligible income.
For any traffic that arrives at one of your web pages, always ensure that your page is optimised for the keywords and subject matter that you are targetting. Google adsence will then publish very relevant ads for that keyword, words that your visitors have probably searched for, are interested in and are in effect pre-sold on that keyword.
Although you should always write for your readers and not the search engines, it is sometimes a good idea to write for a particular subject that you wish to write about but choose a good keyword for that subject. By ‘good’ I mean a keyword that has high traffic i.e. high demand and which ideally should have low supply. However this is not always possible and no matter how hard you search a ‘good’ keyword on your subject cannot be found. When this happens, other tactics can be employed and one of those tactics I will now discuss.
Those of you eagle eyed enough will note that the word ‘adsence’ has been mis-spelt and yes this was intentional. My investigations have shown the correctly spelt keyword ‘adsense’ and its word derivatives to be very, very competitive and frequent in web sites and therefore very difficult to try and obtain good search engine rankings.
However I noticed that adsence was a very common misspelling of adsense (yes even I made the mistake) and I thought that this would be a good time to experiment with SEO for mis-spelt words.
Consequently this post has been optimised for the keyword ‘adsence traffic’ which includes making this keyword the subject of the title, keyword meta tag, post url and finally the content of the actual post.
I will report back in a future post to provide an update on the experiment and to see if the term ‘adsence traffic’ has been indexed in the major search engines.
