Extra Adsense Units Added
After deciding that it was time to increase monetization revenue from this blog, I have now implemented the first monetizing idea by adding some extra adsense units to this site.
Firstly I have added a small square (200 by 200) text ad unit to the individual post page. This ad unit, which displays two adsense adverts, has been coded to wrap around into the post page content by using a div statement and right aligned.
Secondly I have added the same small square 200 by 200 text ad unit to the main index page but rather than use integrated text I have added the ads to the end of each post. Due to Google’s adsense rules of only allowing 3 separate text units in each web page, only the first two posts (out of the five posts per page) will have the extra text ads appended to their content (one text unit is already used in the leaderboard top ad unit).
I will be adding more revenue streams over the next few days.
