Adding content to website
If content is king then website content is the ‘king of kings’.
Time and time again the advice given by everyone on the web is to continue ‘adding content to your website’. By continuing to add quality content you will continue to add quality information for your readership and continue to delight the search engines who love fresh, quality and relevant content.
Stuck for something to say, consider some of the following:-

- Questions and Answers
- Interviews
- Statistical Data Analysis
- In the News
- Technical Advice
- Observations
- History of a subject
- Recommendations
The subject material chosen must be relevant and within the subject boundaries of your websites overall subject matter. Not adhering the ‘tight content’ boundary will lead to your site becoming diluted.
Also consider adding a news feed or some other free content such as ‘this day in history’, ‘quote of the day’ etc. Again the subject of any feed must fit the overall subject matter of your site. If your website forms the basis of a blog, a good starting point will be to try to add a new quality post every day. By the end of a year you could have up to 365 posts, all of high quality and attracting readers from far and wide.
Time spent on tweaking for SEO, browsing your favourite website, analysing your site statistics is far, far less important that adding content to your website.
If in doubt about what to prioritise or undertake at the start of a working day, yes you know the answer .. add some new content !
